Training Tender Hearts and Teaching Strong MindsTestimoniesAcademicsCalvary Christian School continues to be a warm and nurturing learning environment for my son, Paul. In one year of attendance at Calvary, Paul has made huge improvements in his academic achievements. Enrolling Paul at Calvary was the best decision for us! Meeting Special Needs Choosing a Christian school was a sacrifice for us, but it was important for us to have a Christian atmosphere for our two children. Having a child with special needs, we didn’t think we would get the same support as we would have at a public school. But, to the contrary, the staff at Calvary have gone above and beyond what we could have imagined to help and support our daughter. From having meetings to discuss what she needs to making adjustments for her, we were made to feel that our daughter and her needs were important. We are especially thankful to the staff for all their time, effort, and support to meet the needs of our children. PrayerCalvary Christian School is a praying school. This is its strength. It knows that we are what we are because of who God is! Every morning the staff meet together to pray. The students meet to pray. Families are provided with prayer calendars that list every student and teacher and board member. We use this as a family, as part of our morning routine. When a teacher tells you she is praying for you, you are assured that she is. God hears the prayers of his people. May we never stop praying. The Staff Since day one of our children attending CCS, my wife and I have been extremely happy with the school. The structure and quality of education and social development (i.e. kindness club) is second to none. We truly appreciate the hard working staff and their dedication to our children’s education. No Bullying As a family, we attend a weekly social skills group. Unfortunately, every week I hear stories from parents of children in other schools. These parents are devastated as they reiterate stories about how their child is bullied. Their child has been pushed and shoved, or worse … teased and ridiculed. Although zero tolerance is a board-wide policy, this bullying happens regularly. By having my child attend Calvary Christian School, I am absolutely confident that such things do not happen with this school. Morals and values of kindness, caring, and respect are not only taught but practised and reinforced. Our children are being taught and trained to do the proper thing and make the right choices. It is such a relief to bring my son to school every day knowing that he has friends and is included. I also know he is receiving all the support, care and kindness he needs. I am confident in knowing that my son is not only receiving a good education, but is being trained in how to be a responsible citizen and a respectable adult. Calvary Christian School is so much more than just a school. As a family, we have been accepted into a community of people who truly care. We have been blessed! The Pre-K ProgramCalvary Christian School offers an amazing academic environment for very young children as well as older students. The Pre-K and JK structured program is very beneficial to start children in the right direction for future accomplishments. The three teacher ratio for JK and Pre-K is an excellent compliment for the love, understanding, and educational needs of young children. Mrs. Johnson is in an excellent position educationally to work with young children. She has a great touch and is very in tune with the children’s needs. Loving Environment Calvary Christian School, and its staff, have been a great blessing in our lives. My son’s days are filled with enjoyment, music, educational challenges, guidance and most importantly – love. His days at this school will always be remembered with fondness and warmth. It truly is an investment of a (spiritual!) lifetime.
